California Pharmacy Market Dashboard
An interactive dashboard exploring California pharmacy cost and utilization using HCAI's Healthcare Payments Data Snapshot, including a payer-level analysis estimating exposure to reported drug price increases across Commercial, Medicare, and Medi-Cal.

Safe Haven or Hazardous Miscalculation: The Mid-Valencia Bike Lane Pilot
Using SF traffic crash data and a regression discontinuity design, we assess whether San Francisco's 18-month center median bike lane pilot on Valencia Street improved cyclist safety. We find a statistically insignificant effect on accident rates, with robustness confirmed via placebo tests and a DiD comparison to Mission Street.

Masters Thesis
This paper examines whether cultural familism, the tendency to orient trust toward family at the expense of strangers and civic institutions, shapes civic engagement in Italy. Drawing on a 7,700-municipality panel of tax allocation data, a Regression Discontinuity in Time design exploiting COVID-19's onset, and an original lab-in-the-field experiment across four Italian regions, I find that familism robustly predicts lower baseline civic giving and less generous behavior toward strangers. Acute institutional stress can partially override this suppression.

Course Paper
Do urban beautification projects displace low-income residents? Using eviction filing data from 1997–2025 and a staggered difference-in-differences design, I find modest short-term increases in evictions near SF streetscape corridors, peaking 2–3 years post-implementation, with no persistent effect by year 10. Results are robust to alternative control groups, distance thresholds, and synthetic control methods.
